NOTEPAD / What is notepad, how to use notepad

NOTEPAD 

Notepad :- it is a word processing program of Microsoft Window, which is used to create, edit, save ,and print any document it is used to do typing of letter, application or notice. The secondary name of a file created in notepad is TXT

REQUIRED STEPS TO START NOTEPAD -

1. Click start - all programs - accessories - notepad

2nd method -

1. Press Windows key + R
2. Type notepad
3. Press enter key
4. Title bar
5. Menu bar
6. Document area

• File + New (Ctrl + N) - this command creates a new file
• File + Save (Ctrl + S) - this commands store the contents of file for future

Required Steps - 

1. Give file + save command
2. Specify file name
3. Click on save button

• File + Open ( Ctrl + O) - this command opens an existing file

Required Steps - 

1. Give file + open command
2. Click on the name of file
3. Click on open button

• File + Exist ( Alt + F4) - this command is used to quit from notepad
• Format + Font - this command is used to change font type, style and size

Required Steps -  

• Give format + Font command
• Select desired font type, style and size
• Click on Ok

• Edit + Time / Date ( press F5) - this command is used to get current system time and date.

• Required Steps - 

1. Click at desired place
2. Give edit + time / date

• Ctrl + Home - moves cursor to the beginning file
• Carl + End    - Mouse cursor to the end of file

• Edit + Find ( Ctrl + F) - this command is used to search any text in a file

Required Steps - 

1. Press ctrl + home keys
2. Give edit + find command
3. Type the text to be searched
4. Please on find next button

• Edit + Replace ( Ctrl + H)  - this command is used to search text and to replace with new text 

Required Steps - 

1. Press ctrl + home keys

2. Give edit + replace command

3. Type the word to be searched

4. Press tab key

5. Type new world

6. Click on find next button

7. Click on replace button

⭐️REQUIRED STEPS - 

1. Click at the beginning of the range to be selected

2. Hold shift key down

3. Click at the end of the range to be selected

* Edit + Undo ( Ctrl + Z) - this command is used to cancel previous editing

⭐️Required Steps to copy text - 

1. Select the range to be copied 

2. Give edit + copy command or press ctrl + c

3. Click on target

4. Give edit + paste command or press ctrl + V

⭐️REQUIRED STEPS TO MOVE TEXT - 

1. Select desired range of text

2. Give edit + cut command or press  ctrl + x 

3. Click on target

4. Give edit + cut  command or press ctrl + v

# Format + word rap - this command is used to enable or disable world wrap Faculty of notepad . When wordwrap Faculty is on text  automatically moves to the beginning of next line . and word wrap is off text moves to next line only after pressing enter key .

View + Status bar  - this command is used to show or hide status bar

The status bar shows current line number and common number 

 Edit + go to -  this command is used to move cursor to desired line number

⭐️ REQUIRED STEPS 

1. Give edit + go to command

2. Type desired line number

3. Click on Ok

* REQUIRED STEPS TO GET HELP IN NOTEPAD 

1. Give help + help topics command or press F1 key

2. Click on desired topic

3. Click on display button
